  • The noaim Wasteland Tanoa server is almost perfect. But one thing that’s super frustrating is the despawning of objectives halfway through completion. Sometimes even when there is only one enemy left.

Is there a way to delay/disable that once someone started doing the mission? Either by a trigger on entering a certain area or when at least one enemy on a mission was shot.

I talked to some people in game. All of them liked the idea. But I don’t know if it’s possible.

  • we could increase the time for missions to stay.

the missions are being called server side, no client action possible.

if you disable a mission to disappear with a trigger while a player is in its zone, this could be abused. (keep boring missions stay all time)

"Es ist der Fehler des Fehlers, daß er so leicht zu begehen ist , deshalb wird er auch so selten verfehlt ."

  • Thank you for the reply. I see the problem with abusing this. Eventually there might only be boring missions left, nobody wants to complete…

Another idea: What about a trigger, that just resets the despawn timer to the initial duration given on spawn, as long as players are present in the area? That way you can try on a mission multiple times. And when you decide to give up, it still would despawn eventually.
